Another week, another tag I’m behind on. But better late than never! Happy Tuesday everyone, and welcome to another Tag Tuesday. Thank you very much to Rebecca for tagging me in this tag! I’m pretty sure I’ve done this tag before, but that was a while ago so it’s definitely time for an update.

TOP 3 BOOK PET PEEVES

• Lack of communication =/= conflict: I hate when the only conflict in books is lack of communication. Like, just tell people things! If they have all the information they need, they can make the right decision! Looking at you, Dumbledore.
• Unrealistic YA: this one is mainly for YA and contemporary when it’s supposed to be real life. I hate when there are little things that are unrealistic. Like, am I really supposed to believe that this 15-year old’s parent’s are okay with them staying out until 11:30 on a school night? And when do these kids study? They never study and yet do well in school?
• Girl-on-girl hate: it’s 2018. Can we finally accept that most women actually don’t hate each other and we don’t have to compete 24/7 and can actually support each other and succeed at the same time?

I’m a fan of my bed. I know, that’s such a standard answer, but my bed is my favourite place to read.

THREE READING CONFESSIONS

• I’ve read the entirety of the Twilight Saga. I actually don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned that on this blog before, but I read all of them when I was in grade 7, which was the height of the Twilight mayhem. Another confession: I thought they got better.
• I don’t think it’s that big of a deal to watch the movie before reading the book. Sometimes, I want to know what happens in a story without having to invest the time in reading the book.
• I think adults having underage “book boyfriends” is weird, and you can quote me on that.

LAST TIME I CRIED DURING A BOOK

I almost cried reading Moxie by Jenifer Mathieu. It was just so heartwarming and powerful and I was feeling emotionally unstable.

NUMBER OF BOOKS ON MY BEDSIDE TABLE

Right now I only have two plus my kindle! I recently had to clear out my bedroom so it’s cleaner than normal!

FAVOURITE READING SNACK

I don’t really snack while I read because I tend to read either right before bed or early in the morning.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reed, Nothing by Janne Teller, and Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.
