November TBR and Tome Topple!

Okay so I generally don’t do monthly TBRs but school isn’t super busy this month. So I’m participating in TWO readathons and wanted to combine my TBRs for them to make it easier for me!

Like I mentioned previously, I’m participating in Read-a-thin, which you can read about here and see my TBR here! But Tome Topple is also happening this month, which is a readathon to read those big books (500+ pages) and I wanted to participate. It runs from November 17th to November 30th and I don’t have any midterms during that time! So I should have lots of time to read! So here is my modified TBR!

Modified TBR

Challenge (read-a-thin): Read a diverse book
Challenge (read-a-thin):
Read a new-to-you author
Book:
the Help by Kathryn Stockett (done!!)

Challenge (read-a-thin): Read a horror/thriller
Challenge (read-a-thin):
Read a book in 24 hours
Book:
Between You and Me by Lisa Hall

Challenge (read-a-thin): Read an eBook
Book:
The Beauty Myth by Naomi Wolf

Challenge (read-a-thin): Read a book outside of your favourite genre
Book:
The Queen of Katwe by Tim Crothers (memoir, non-fiction)

Challenge (read-a-thin): Read a book that counts toward another readathon
Challenge (Tome Topple): Read an adult book
Book: the Book of Negroes by Lawrence Hill (512 pages)

Challenge (Tome Topple): Read a tome that is part of a series
Book: American Gods by Neil Gaiman (635 pages)

Let me know if you’ve read any of these books or are participating in either of these readathons!

  1. Woot woot for American Gods! I’m going to jump into one of these Read-a-thons eventually. November isn’t a good month for me, though. Where do you find out about them? Usually by the time I hear about one, it’s too late!

    1. I heard about Read-a-thin because I follow Jessica and am in the Goodreads group, and another blogger is doing Tome Topple. But normally I see wrap-up posts and had no idea about the read-a-thon haha
