Find out more about Thursday’s Top 4 here! It’s basically a meme I started mainly for myself, but anyone can participate! Visit this page for the upcoming topics 🙂
This week is books with no romance. This was a Top 5 Wednesday post a while ago now, so go read that too if you want more recommendations!
419 by Will Ferguson
I don’t think I’ve ever talked about this book, but Ferguson is from my city and this book takes place largely here too, which is cool because no other books do. But this one is super interesting. It’s about phone scams and the scammers and victims.
And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
A classic mystery, so there is very little romance.
Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk
Again, no romance. I highly recommend reading the book if you haven’t!
Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick
This book is about suicide, so heads up for that. But it’s super interesting, and I really recommend it!
Those are my books without romance! Have you read any of these?

I haven’t read Fight Club, but I have read a couple others by Palahniuk and he it just a super impressive writer!

He really is! I definitely recommend Fight Club, even if you’ve seen the movie 🙂

I thought about putting Fight Club on my list, but then I wondered if Marla counted as a very dysfunctional form of romance. After typing that, I see how ridiculous it truly is.

I LOVED And Then There Were None! I would also add Ender’s Game to this list, which is one of my all-time favorites.

Me too, it’s so good! I’ve heard good things about Ender’s Game, and it’s been on my TBR forever! I think my brother has a copy, so I’ll have to steal it! 🙂

I loved And Then There Were None! Such a classic.
A more modern book I read last year without any romance in it is The Girl Who Drank The Moon. I really liked that one–it’s my favorite read of 2017.

I remember you mentioning it! I’ll have to look into it!

This post was practically made for me! I’m a big no-no for romance, and frankly there’s very few books with love stories that I enjoy. So I’m always up for reading books that don’t have any romance! Great post!

Thank you! I totally get what you’re saying! I’m not really a big fan of books that are only focused on romance

Really great list- I’ve read and then there were none and only seen fight club- but I agree with them both story-wise!
