Ebooks I have read and want a physical copy of

Hello, fellow book lovers! I read quite a few ebooks, either through my library or on my Kindle. And most of the time, I specifically seek out ebooks that I know I don’t want a physical copy of. But, sometimes there are books where I do want a physical copy, either because I loved the book more than I expected to or the cover is just too pretty.

So, I thought for today I’d talk about some of those books!

Before we get started, on Wednesday we learned that there would be no justice for Breonna Taylor, who was shot by police while sleeping in her bed. One officer has been charged with wanton endangerment. No one has been charged with murder. This is absolutely unacceptable, and she deserves better.

I’m angry and don’t know what else to do except share information and actionable things you can do. So here is a thread on Twitter of links to sign petitions or donate to different organizations:

Here is also the link to the Louisville Bail Fund, where you can donate to help bail out protestors who will inevitably get arrested.

Kindred by Octavia E. Butler: I read this ebook through my library a few weeks ago and I loved it so much. It’s the type of books I could definitely see myself rereading and wanting on my shelves.

Sister Outsider by Audre Lorde: I listened to this ebook not too long ago, and there were definitely some essays I wanted to go back and reread. They were so insightful and I feel like I would get more out of them reading them again.

Say Nothing by Patrick Radden Keefe: I just loved this book so much and told everyone about it for weeks. It’s so interesting and so well-written. I think I’m going to get my dad/brother a copy for Christmas, and then I can steal it 😈

Ayesha at Last by Uzma Jalaluddin: this book was so sweet, and it’s the type of book I want to turn to when I’m in a reading slump. Something fun, easy to read, entertaining. Plus, the physical copies look gorgeous.

Middlegame by Seanan McGuire: this was one of the biggest surprises of the year. I completely adored this book, and now want my own copy so I can read it whenever I want.

Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston: this is another book I want to own so I can read it whenever I want. I thought it was so cute and perfect for me, and I always want more pink books tbh.
