Recent non-bookish favourites

Happy Friday, pals!

Today I thought I would talk about some of my recent non-bookish favourites. I like doing these every so often to talk about things I wouldn’t usually talk about but want to.

Movies/TV shows

Dirty Dancing: I watched this for the first time recently and I loved it, 10/10.

Booksmart: I also watched this recently and I loved it so much. Everyone should watch it, it’s so funny. It also did a great job of making all the characters nuanced and not too stereotypical. Also one of the most accurate depictions of current high school students. Would recommend for accurate lesbian representation. Also 10/10.

The Society: this is a Netflix special that’s similar to Lord of the Flies but in our society. I loved everything about it except the pacing, which was a little too fast. I know that seems like a weird complaint, but there’s a really sudden and jarring time jump partway through that throws off the pacing. 9/10, though, would definitely recommend.

The Good Place, season 3: season 3 was finally added to Netflix and I binged it sososo quickly and have already rewatched most of it. It was amazing, I loved it, it is maybe my favourite season of the show. 10/10

Others

The Huji app: this is an app that makes your photos look like they’ve been taken on a film camera. It’s great for taking ~*~ aesthetic photos~*~ to be a basic bitch like me.

Beats headphones: I caved and got Beats (actually I got a new laptop and they came with the laptop) and I love them. I love that they’re bluetooth because it means I can listen to youtube while I do chores/cook. I also love the laptop, it’s great too.

My heated blanket: thanks to my mom for buying me this. It’s so soft and fuzzy, and is heated! I love it and it’s great.

These earrings: I am obsessed with them. They are the prettiest earrings I’ve ever seen in my life and I’ve worn them a million times since I bought them, and I’ve gotten so many compliments on them.

My watch: it’s a basic Fossil watch but it’s literally perfect and I love everything about it.

So those are some of my recent non-bookish favourites! What have you been loving lately? Have you seen Booksmart? You should. Have you watched The Society? Let me know!
