Happy Tuesday, pals! It’s been a minute and a half since I did a tag, but we’re back today! Since it’s fall and I’m a book blog, today I’m doing the Autumn Book tag, which I was tagged for by my bestest book pal Rebecca. Please go check out her blog if you haven’t yet. This tag was created by Jenn so also check her out, as well!
HOT CHOCOLATE: WHAT IS YOUR COMFORT BOOK?
Hmmm this is a good question. Usually when I want a “comfort” book, I turn to my old favourite YA books, so it’s usually either Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins (don’t @ me, it’s cute) or The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen. However, I recently read Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston and loved it, so as soon as I buy myself a copy, it will definitely turn into a comfort read.
PUMPKIN CARVING: WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE CREATIVE OUTLET?
Definitely this blog! Whenever I feel like I need to do something creative, I end up making new graphics (which may be happening again sometime soon, you’ve been warned). I’ve always loved design and colour, so making colour palettes is another thing I like doing.
FALLING LEAVES: CHANGES THAT APPEAR BAD, BUT YOU SECRETLY LOVE?
Could I do the opposite? Changes that people tend to enjoy that I dislike? I’m honestly not usually a fan of when authors who write primarily one genre try to write another genre. Obviously I think authors should be able to write whatever they want, I’m just very skeptical and hesitant when they do. Like when Stephanie Perkins took a foray into YA thriller. I still haven’t read that book because I’m skeptical of how good it’ll be.
PUMPKIN SPICED LATTE: SOMETHING YOU LOVE THAT OTHERS TEND TO JUDGE
I used to be a Horse Girl™, so definitely that. Luckily for high school, though, I went to a super rich private school where at least three other people in my grade rode, so I was never judged for being the Horse Girl because some of the cool people were also horse girls.
BONFIRE NIGHT: WHAT MAKES YOU EXPLODE WITH JOY?
Would it be cheesy to say my friends? Because honestly, it’s the truth. When I have a moment of “oh hey, I have great friends” it makes me happy. Is that cheesy? I’m sorry.
FRIGHT NIGHT: FAVOURITE SCARY FILM OR BOOK
I don’t really read or watch scary things, but I’d probably go with either The Shining or The Sixth Sense. The Sixth Sense is one of my favourite movies of all time, it’s so good.
HALLOWEEN CANDY: FAVOURITE THING TO EAT
Most potatoes, honestly. I have yet to meet a potato (other than potato salad) that I haven’t liked. Or pasta. I could eat pasta every day. Or peanut butter, which I do eat literally every day.
SCARVES: YOUR AUTUMN MUST-HAVE ACCESSORY
Honestly, scarves. I love scarves. I have too many.
FIRE: A BOOK OR FILM THAT BURNS YOUR SOUL
In a good way? I recently watched Dirty Dancing for the first time and loved it. I get the hype.
TOFFEE APPLES: A BOOK OR FILM THAT SEEMS ONE THING BUT REALLY HAS A DIFFERENT INSIDE
I actually can’t think of one without being really salty. Maybe The Girls by Emma Cline, which is supposed to be about the Manson murders and cult and such but is actually just really boring and not about the murders or cult at all.
I’m not sure who has and hasn’t done this tag yet, so I’m not going to tag anyone. But if you want to do it and haven’t yet, consider yourself tagged!
Thanks for reading! xx
This is such a lovely tag!! Red, White and Royal Blue is definitely something I can see as a comfort read, it has such a happy story and some really funny moments which I love!!
I agree about blogging being a creative outlet it is so fun to be able to write something or try a new graphic, design etc. I just love the fact that you can always learn something new with blogging and you can create something out of nothing!!
Aw.. you like horse riding, that is so cool!! I did some when I was younger but my sister was more into it than me so I didn’t do it that long but I’m still glad I did it!!
Yay dirty dancing is amazing movie, I love it more every time I watch it !!

They’re really awesome! I love that I can wrap up in scarves as much or as little as I want, depending on how cold it is.
