Questions from Sarah
What’s the best movie you’ve seen recently?
Oooh good question! Idek what I’ve watched recently. The most recent new-to-me movie I watched was Slumdog Millionaire, which I ended up really enjoying!
Update: this is a bold-faced lie, I’ve also watched Dirty Dancing and Book Smart. I loved both of them so much, please watch them.
How often do you make music playlists?
I used to make them all the time for super specific things. Now I generally only make them every once in a while, if there’s a specific mood I want.
What’s the last book you were gifted?
In the summer, my friend Shadi bought me The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane by Lisa See, so I think that!
What are you looking forward to right now?
As I’m writing this (which is exactly one week before you’re reading it), I’m in the airport to go home for Thanksgiving. So I’m looking forward to that!
[weird question] If you could switch places with one actor in any scene in any movie/TV show, which would it be?
Hmmmmmm I recently started watching The Society on Netflix, and there’s one scene in the first (I think) episode where all the students have a massive party at night in an abandoned church. I’d love to switch with one of the actors/actresses and be at that party. Idk I think it’d be fun!
Questions from Naty
What is one post from your blog you’re really proud of and why?
Oooh a lot of them, honestly! I think recently, my favourite was my Recommendations based on your favourite memes post. It was so much fun to do.
What is a non-bookish thing you love doing?
I love rock climbing! I don’t do it a ton because it’s kind of hard to rock climb alone, but my brother and I go fairly often in the summer.
What’s a great movie you’ve watched recently?
See above!
What is a local dish from where you live that is your absolute favourite?
Being totally honest, a lot of the traditional Canadian foods are not my favourite, which really means that I’m not a fan of poutine (I’m sorry!). BUT I do like smoked salmon, which I think is Canadian? We sometimes make pasta with lemony-cream sauce, smoked salmon and asparagus and it’s one of my favourites.
[weird question] What bookish made-up country should totally exist and you’d absolutely live there?
I would love to visit Red London from the Darker Shades of Magic trilogy! It just sounds so lovely and magical.
Three things about me
- I’m a very picky eater.
- My favourite movie is Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away.
- I was once stung by a jelly fish.
My best posts
- Most popular: the types of book reviewers
- Second: how to write a readable book review
- Recent favourite: recommendations based on your favourite memes
Because I have to go catch a flight, I’m not going to nominate anyone. But if you’re reading this, let me know below your favourite movie that you think I should watch and your favourite sport to watch on TV.
Thanks again to Sarah and Naty for the nominations! 💖💖 And thank you all for all your continued love and support 💖

Fun answers! I can’t believe you don’t like poutine though, I love it soo much.

I’m sorry!!! It’s because I don’t like gravy. If I could have fries with cheese curds sans gravy, that’d work for me

Ok, that’s fair I guess!!

Omg that pasta with salmon sounds delicious!! I’ve never had poutine, I think. Really cool answers and thank you for your sweet words!!

It’s so good!! I’d definitely recommend it. If you like fries and gravy and cheese curds, you’d probably like poutine.
Of course! 💕

I have no idea what a cheese curd is, I’ll have to look it up. It does sound delicious, though!

Oooh, that pasta sounds amazing! And I will eat all your poutine. It’s okay. I’ll make that sacrifice. 😉
One of my favorite movies is Galaxy Quest. It’s just a silly fun (yet touching) Star Trek parody sci-fi movie. But I also agree with you on Spirited Away! Love that movie, too.
