Happy Tuesday everyone, and happy October!! I cannot believe there’s only three months left until the 2010s are done!!!! wtf!!!!!
Anyway, existential attack out of the way, it has been a minute and a half since I did a Top Ten Tuesday, which you can learn more about here! Today the topic is books with numbers in the title, which I thought was a lot of fun but also harder than anticipated.
I decided to only do books on my TBR, and excluded anthologies that were something like “six stories of hardship” and things like first or thirteenth (i.e. The Fifth Season by NK Jemisin) because I don’t think those are technically numbers.
Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid: my mom and I bought this for ourselves not too long ago, and I really need to read it soon!
Fifteen Dogs by Alexis André: my mom read this when it first came out and really enjoyed it, so I really want to read it. It’s also a Canadian author, so that’s cool.
We Were Eight Years in Power: An American Tragedy by Ta-Nehisi Coates: because I love Coates and need to read this.
The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Claire North: someone on booktube recommended this, and I love reincarnation stories.
The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom: my family has owned this for YEARS, I really just need to read it already.
The Girls at 17 Swann Street by Yara Zgheib: someone that I know is always talking about this book on her Instagram, so I decided to take her recommendation and add it to my TBR.
Seven Fallen Feathers: Racism, Death, and Hard Truths in a Northern City by Tanya Talaga: I believe this is a Canadian Indigenous author, which is a group of authors I want to support more.
Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel: I actually bought the eBook for this not too long ago, I just need to read it soon.
A Thousand Beginnings and Endings by Ellen Oh: I believe this is an anthology? by Asian authors?
The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware: I honestly think I added this because of the hype like three years ago. idk when I’ll get to it, but hopefully at some point!
So those are some books I want to read with numbers in their titles. Have you read any of these? Which should I read first? Are there any others I should add to my TBR? Let me know!
