Happy Thursday, everyone!
So news: I’ve rebranded Thursday’s Top 4 to be Thursday Discussion. TBH, I never liked the name TT4 and I didn’t like how it was so similar to T5W or T5T, but I could never figure out what to do differently. But recently, I was having issues coming up with four things for each post. Sometimes I’d have 9 books I wanted to talk about, sometimes I’d only have one. SO it’s been rebranded to a discussion post instead!
Essentially, just write a post based on the prompt for that week. The post can be as long or as short as you want, and you can talk about as much or as little as you want. Visit this page for the upcoming topics! It happens every other week, and I generally post the topics a month(ish) in advance.
This week the topic is favourite titles of books on your TBR. I love titles, honestly. For me, they’re maybe more important than the cover of a book. If a book has a good title, I will automatically want to read it.
Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie: idk what about this title I love so much, but it’s one of my favourites. It’s just intriguing and interesting.
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and Everything Is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer: I love both of these titles. I like how descriptive they are, I guess.
Rust & Stardust by T. Greenwood: one of my favourite books is Lolita, and one of my favourite quotes is “the rest is rust and stardust”, so obviously I love this book title.
The Sun Does Shine by Anthony Ray Hinton: this one is just so hopeful-sounding, which is perfect for the topic of this book.
Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston: again, I don’t really know what it is about this title I love, but it’s so interesting. I guess the thought of people being able to watch God is interesting.
Self-Portrait with Boy by Rachel Lyon: this is so vague and generic, but also interesting and makes me want to read about the boy in the photo.
Hum If You Don’t Know the Words by Bianca Marais: I’m just a sucker for vague yet descriptive titles, I guess.
Who Will Run the Frog Hospital? by Lorrie Moore: I mentioned in a post recently that this is one of my favourite titles, and it is. It’s so sweet and wholesome and innocent.
So those are some of my favourite titles on my TBR! Have you read any of these? What are some of your favourite book titles? Let me know!

There is something fun about book titles! (And I like your re-branding idea. It makes sense.) Some of my favorite recent titles:
Cat Pictures Please (short story, but also anthology title)
Natalie Tan’s Book of Luck and Fortune
And I am also a sucker for punny cozy mystery titles. There’s just something about them that grabs my attention.

omg that cat title is so cute. I also love punny titles (mainly just because I love puns)

I live for Tom Holt and David Thorne book titles. They make me giggle every time there’s a new book out. Personal faves are: That’s Not How You Wash a Squirrel (DT); The Management Style of the Supreme Beings (TH); and Look Evelyn, Duck Dynasty Wiper Blade. We Should Get Them (DT)
