A book that a certain friend is always telling you to read

I don’t think I have one friend who’s continuously recommending one particular book. My friend Charlotte used to always tell me to read everything by Tamora Pierce, and I haven’t read all her books but I have read a bunch of them by now.

A book that’s been on your TBR forever and yet you still haven’t picked it up

Columbine by Dave Cullen. It has been on my TBR literally since the day I got Goodreads seven years ago. I just need to fckin read it at this point.

A book in a series you’ve started, but haven’t gotten round to finishing yet

Legend by Marie Lu. I really enjoyed Legend and was unsure of whether I wanted to continue the series, but I think I do. I think I read Legend about six years ago, so it’s been a long time coming.

A classic you’ve always liked the sound of, but never actually read

Probably Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. I have a physical copy now, though, so I’m definitely going to read it soon!

A popular book that it seems everyone but you has read

You mean, every book? I think Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. BUT I FINALLY HAVE A COPY so I will read it soon, I promise.

(update: I’m currently reading it and LOVING IT, IT’S AMAZING)

A book that inspired a film/TV adaptation that you really love, but you just haven’t read it yet

For this, I’ll go with The End of the F***ing World by Charles Forsman. I really enjoyed the Netflix series, and I think the comic book would be interesting. I’ve heard the Netflix series is actually better, but I still think I want to read the comic book.

A book you see all over Instagram Wordpress but haven’t picked up yet

The Silence of the Girls by Pat Barker. I have a copy of this, too! It’s probably literally my favourite book cover ever, and it also sounds so interesting.

I tag: Rebecca // Sarah // Rachel and any one else who wants to do it! And, as always, no pressure!

Thanks again, Emma, for the tag! Have you read any of these books? Should I read them? Let me know!

  1. Thanks for the tag! I’m glad you ended up loving Six of Crows. I think Crooked Kingdom is even better, so hopefully you’re able to get around to it soon! 🙂
