Top 5 Tuesday: sequels I need to get to

It has been a little while since I participate in Top 5 Tuesday, and I honestly wasn’t sure I was going to be able to do this topic. Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the lovely Shanah at the Bionic Bookworm. You can visit here for the upcoming topics!

This week, the topic is Top 5 sequels I need to get to. Which is really just calling me out for never reading sequels.

Iron Gold by Pierce Brown: the Red Rising trilogy was one of my favourites, and Iron Gold is the first in the sequel trilogy, if that makes sense. I’ve heard good things about it and I’m so excited to read it!

Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman: Anansi Boys is kind of the companion novel to American Gods, which I really enjoyed. I’ve heard Anansi Boys is also great, so I’m excited to read it too!

Prodigy and Champion by Marie Lu: these are books 2 and 3 in the Legend trilogy. Legend is one of my favourite YA dystopians, and I think I want to finish the series at some point.

A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons by George RR Martin: I got about halfway through A Feast For Crows and now I have to restart it. Which, honestly, is just a lot of work.

A Wild Sheep Chase and Dance Dance Dance by Haruki Murakami: these are books 3 and 4 in the Rat series, which I find really interesting? The second one was significantly better than the first, so I’m hoping these are better too.

So those are some series I still need to finish! Have you read any of these? Which should I try first? Let me know!

Thanks for reading! xx

  1. I put the second A Song of Ice and Fire book on my list because it’s so long and I can’t bring myself to give it a shot. Part of me wants to read them all, and part of me just wants to watch the TV show, honestly.
