Happy Wednesday! It has been almost a full year since I did a WWW Wednesday, but I’ve finally been reading again and I wanted to talk about the books I’ve been reading lately.
WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. All you do is answer the three questions and leave a link to Sam’s post!
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?
I’m currently reading The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton. I’m about halfway done and have a lot of thoughts. It’s really interesting and I’m definitely engaged in it, but I’m having a hard time reconciling some of the plot points. If you haven’t read it, essentially the narrator lives the same day eight times as eight different people. And I’m finding it hard to make the timeline make sense? And some things will happen that seem weird considering what would’ve just happened on the previous day (which is the same day just from a different perspective). So yeah. If you’ve read this one, let me know what you thought in the end! (but not spoilers because I’m not done yet!)
What did you recently finish reading?
I recently finished The Secret History by Donna Tartt. I think I’m giving it 3.5 stars, rounded to four. I thought it was incredibly well-written (no shock there) and the plot, characters, and setting were all great (again, no surprise there). But it was so slow and I thought the second half dragged a bit too much.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I currently have The Hearts Invisible Furies by John Boyne on my bedside table to read next, but I also think I’m going to attempt continuing 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami at the same time. I’ve been “reading” it for about a year now. I managed to finish the first book, but haven’t read past there. So I’m determined to finish at least the second book.
That’s all for today! Have you read any of these books? What are you currently reading? Let me know!
looking forward to your thoughts on The 7 deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. I have started this on Audiobook but I haven’t continued with it yet.
Here is my WWW Wednesday post.

Sounds fun! I want to read the 7 1/2 Deaths, but haven’t gotten to it yet. I’m curious to see how the different perspectives / timelines / whatever play out. It’s a really neat concept.

It was a really great concept! The author does a great job keeping everything in order (for the most part)
