Top 5 Tuesday: fictional friendships

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Today I’m doing Top 5 Tuesday, which is a weekly meme created by the lovely Shanah at the Bionic Bookworm. You can visit here for the upcoming topics!

This week, the topic is Top 5 fictional friendships. I feel like I did a similar post not too long ago, but I can’t find it, so we’ll just ignore that (update: I did platonic relationships, which you can see here). Because I did platonic relationships recently, I’ll be focusing solely on friendships for this post (you know, the topic).

Harry and Luna from Harry Potter

I think Harry and Luna are an underrated friendship. They’re so sweet, and Harry platonically loves Luna so much.

The Liars from We Were Liars by E. Lockart

The Liars are the best. They’re such great, wholesome friends (cousins, but still technically friends!!!)

Evelyn and Harry from Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Evelyn and Harry have the sweetest, best, most wholesome friendship I have almost ever read. They’re just so loving and supportive and I love them so much.

Darrow and Sevro from Red Rising by Pierce Brown

Darrow and Sevro are the best. They’re both just so badass, and so badass together, I love it.

The Them from Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett

The Them are so devious and so great. Once again, I love them so much. This book is worth reading just for them tbh.

So those are five of my favourite fictional friendships! What are yours? Any similar to me? Let me know!

xx

  1. Ooh, for me it’s Ged and Tenar, from Ursula Le Guins Earthsea Quartet, in particular, The Tombs of Atuan. In many ways an uncomfortable and intriguing story, in which both these characters, and the friendship that develops, blossoms.
