Since last week I did the 80’s movie book tag, I thought that this week, I’d also do the 90’s movie book tag! I was tagged by Jayati, so thank you so much for the tag!
She’s All That | name a book that is an odd pairing but they still fit perfectly
Honestly? **minor spoilers for Red Rising** I’m not sold on Sevro and Victra from Red Rising. I liked them in the end, but I still find them an odd pairing.
10 Things I Hate About You | a book/series that you have a love/hate relationship with
Currently, Women Talking by Miriam Toews. I think this book is so important and discusses so many important topics, but there was something about the way it’s told that was hard for me.
Clueless | a character that is totally clueless but you love them anyway
I’m going go with Harry Potter for this one. I was watching one of the movies lately and was remembering how clueless he is sometimes. But I still love him and he’s still the best.
Titanic | name a book that made you cry
Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. That book made me cry more than a lot of books do.
American Pie | a book that makes you laugh
The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson. This is maybe the funniest book I’ve ever read in a dumb kind of way.
Can’t Hardly Wait | a book with a crazy party
I never talk about it, but Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan has a pretty good party-ish scene right at the end. It’s such a touching scene of friendship.
Cruel Intentions | name a character that you can never fully trust
I have been thinking for so long about this question, and I can’t think of anyone, I’m sorry. Maybe Dumbledore? He’s actually the worst when you think about it.
Drive Me Crazy | name your favourite “boy next door” or “girl next door” couple
I think Macy and Wes from The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen. They’re one of my favourite book couples in general.
Scream | a book with a memorable villain
Holland from A Darker Shade of Magic by V. E. Schwab. Holland is such a great character and such a great villain.
The Craft | name a book with witches
Which Witch? by Eva Ibbotson. This is such a great middle grade book, and I highly recommend it.
Because I was tagged for this so long ago and it seems like everyone has already done this, I’m not going to tag anyone. But please please please let me know if you do it!
Thanks for reading xx

Glad to see you do this tag!
And yeah, when you think about it Dumbledore was so cryptic and we never knew what to think or expect with him…

Agree about both Harry and Dumbledore! But then, with Dumbledore’s scheming, Harry would need to be pretty clueless, or it wouldn’t work nearly as well (if at all).

Very true! If Harry wasn’t so oblivious, Dumbledore’s scheming wouldn’t have worked

That would be a fun story to read / write. One where Dumbledore tries things, but Harry sees through at least some of them, and then Dumbledore has to plan different things… hmm. Could be a lot of fun.
