Happy Tuesday, everyone! I have one more exam left (as you’re reading this; for past me writing this, I still have three left) then I’m on winter break!! So today I thought I’d do this fun, festivey tag! Thank you very much to Consu @ Paper Eyed Girl for the tag!! This tag was created by Booktuber GirlReading and you can check out the original video here!
A fictional family you would like to spend christmas dinner with?
Is it cheating to say the Weasleys? Because I’d definitely love to spend Christmas with them (even though Ron never did; side note: why didn’t Harry just go to the Weasley’s for Christmas? Why did they all have to stay at Hogwarts?)
A bookish item you would like to receive as a gift?
Okay this isn’t a thing, but I would love if book covers were sold as posters. I know that that would involve a ton of copyright things you’d have to work with and such, but wouldn’t it be so cool?
A fictional character you think would make a perfect christmas elf?
Oooh this is such a good question! The only thing I can think of is Sevro from Red Rising. I think he’d hate it, but it’d be entertaining, you know? (Joe, please confirm)
Match a book to it’s perfect christmas song.
This is so hard! Okay the only thing I can think of is Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates and “I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas” because irony.
Bah Humbug. A book or fictional character you’ve been disappointed in and should be put on the naughty list?
I’m going to go with the last two books in the Darker Shade of Magic trilogy by V. E. Schwab. The first one was so good, and then these two just dragged and the characters became too trope-y. So I was disappointed in them (though I don’t think they deserve to be on the naughty list).
A book or a fictional character you think deserves more love and appreciation and deserve to be put on the nice list?
I’m going to go with I, Coriander by Sally Gardner. It’s a middle grade fantasy/historical fiction that I was obsessed with when I was younger. I highly recommend it (also I think it’d make a good winter read).
Red, Gold and Green. A book cover that has a wonderfully christmasy feel to it.
Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan is so wintery and festive (both the cover and the book!)
A book or series you love so much, you want everyone to find under their christmas tree this year so they can read it and love it too?
I’m going to go with Pachinko by Min Jin Lee. It was so wonderful and I want every one to read it!
I’m tagging anyone who wants to do a fun, festive book tag! Or was like me and seriously lacking festive posts!
Thanks for reading! And thanks again to Consu for the tag! ❤
Ally xx
Maybe I shouldn’t tell you this because you may go broke but they do sell book covers as wall art/posters. You can order them on Amazon. 🙂

I LOVED I, Coriander when I was younger too (still love it actually)! It really does need more love.

Yay, so glad someone else knows and loves it!!!! It’s so good, I think I read it at least five times when I was younger!
