Thursday’s Top 4: books you’d give your parents for Christmas

Find out more about Thursday’s Top 4 here! It’s basically a meme I started mainly for myself, but anyone can participate! Visit this page for the upcoming topics 🙂

This week the topic is books you’d give your parents for Christmas. These are all from my “for madre” list on Goodreads, which is where I keep track of the books I think my mom would like so I can get them for her.

Hum if You Don’t Know the Words by Bianca Marais

Last year, my mom read quite a few books that took place in Africa, and this one takes place in South Africa and I think she’d really enjoy it (I think I’d enjoy it too and want to borrow it lol)

Lab Girl by Hope Jharen

My mom is a researcher and works a lot with animals, and though this one focuses on plants, I still think she’d really enjoy it.

The Incendiaries by RO Kwon

I just think she’ll find this interesting, honestly, and have a lot to say about it. And the cover is gorgeous.

American Overdose: The Opioid Tragedy in Three Acts by Chris McGreal

My mom is also a psychiatrist who works a lot with drug addicts, and I think she’d find this book super interesting. I feel like my dad would also like it, so two birds with one stone.

So, those are the books I’m hoping to get my mom at some point. Have you read any of these? Let me know!
