Find out more about Thursday’s Top 4 here! It’s basically a meme I started mainly for myself, but anyone can participate! Visit this page for the upcoming topics 🙂
This week the topic is books from your favourite genre that you want to read. I don’t really have a favourite genre, but I’m going to go with literary and adult fiction, which really isn’t very specific I’m sorry. Also I now realize that like three of these are historical fiction so I really should’ve just gone with that, I’m sorry lmao
The Silence of the Girls by Pat Barker
I’m going to be completely honest and just say that this is 100% a cover add. It’s maybe the most beautiful cover I’ve seen in a while. BUT it also says it’s feminist and everyone seems to love it. So a gorgeous cover + a feminist book = something I’ll probably love.
The Heart’s Invisible Furies by John Boyne
I’ve just heard so many good things about this book, and I really want to read it. Hopefully soon (when I’m in the mood for a heavier read).
Home going by Yaa Gyasi
This has been on my TBR for forever. And I’ve put it on about 19 different TBR lists. But SOME DAY I will read it!
The Marriage of Opposites by Alice Hoffman
This has also been on my TBR for ages, and it sounds like something I’d love. I really need to get to it soon.
So those are some books from my favourite (or just a genre I like) that I want to read soon! Have you read any of these? Let me know!

I have The Rules of Magic by Alice Hoffman on my TBR although I haven’t heard about The Marriage of Opposites. Hope you enjoy these!

These books are all great. The HIF can be heavy but is also hysterically funny in spots – he is a master of dialogue.
Another vote for Home going. It could be read in parts as it is kind of a series of linked vignettes
And The Marriage of Opposites has such interesting settings…..

That’s what I’ve heard about Homegoing! I think I’ll try and read at least one section this summer.
Settings are my favourite things in books, so that’s great to hear!
