Find out more about Thursday’s Top 4 here! It’s basically a meme I started mainly for myself, but anyone can participate! Visit this page for the upcoming topics 🙂
This week the topic is cover reads! I love a good cover. Not too long ago, we did favourite covers, which was great. But this week is books I read because of the cover.
The Measure of my Powers by Jackie Kai Ellis: 4 stars
This is maybe one of the prettiest books I own. Seriously, it’s so gorgeous. There’s wonderful photography and different coloured pages, it’s just so pretty. I definitely recommend it if you like memoirs!
Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro: 5 stars
This will probably be one of my favourites of the year. It was so good and so incredibly well-written. I loved it and highly recommend it.
Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng: 5 stars
I also loved this book so much, and it’s one of my favourite covers ever. Especially in person. The colours are just much prettier and bolder, and I really enjoy it. I want it as a poster in my bedroom.
Boy, Snow, Bird by Helen Oyeyemi: 3 stars
This was 100% a cover buy, and I ended up liking it too. It wasn’t perfect and there were definitely things I wanted to change, but overall it was interesting.
So those are my cover reads! What about you? Let me know!

I read Renee Adhieh’s Flame in the Mist purely because of the cover. And oh wow, that cover. So lovely. Too bad I didn’t like the book nearly as much as I love the cover.
