Recommendations for… underrated YA

Even though I participate in giving Monthly Recommendations, I thought I would start my own where every couple weeks I give recommendations for a specific topic. Today I’m doing recommendations for underrated or lesser known YA books. These are YA books that I think are wonderful and amazing but not talked about enough.

Vixen by Jillian Larkin (7,736 ratings)

This is about flappers in the 1920s and I love it!! More accurately I guess, it’s about highschoolers trying to be flappers during the 20s. I highly recommend it!

So B. It by Sarah Weeks (29,645 ratings)

This is more of a coming-of-age type story? It’s about a girl who’s mom is mentally disabled, and is being raised/taken care of by her neighbour. It’s really sweet and touching and I highly recommend it.

Dream Factory by Brad Barkely and Helen Hepler (2,552 ratings)

I’ve mentioned this quite a few times lately, but I really want more people to read it. It takes place at Disneyworld and the characters are really cute.

Wish by Alexandra Bullen (3,256 ratings)

This is about a girl who’s twin passes away suddenly. She gets three wishes from a magical dress (don’t question it) and wishes her sister was back and she comes back as kind of a ghost? And helps her be popular and cool? I know it sounds lame but I promise it’s really cute.

So those are some underrated and less known YA books I recommend! Have you read any of them? What are your thoughts? Let me know!
