In the spirit of Popular Opinion Week, this week’s topic is books I recommend to everyone, specifically popular books I recommend to everyone!
Red Rising by Pierce Brown
We all know how much I love this series, so this really shouldn’t come as a surprise. But this is my go-to recommendation for people who want to read sci-fi or fantasy but are iffy about it, or people who appreciate good world-building and action, or to boys.
Life of Pi by Yann Martel
Life of Pi is one of my all-time favourite books, and I recommend it as soon as I’ve heard someone hasn’t read it. I just think it’s so interesting and beautifully written.
Every Day by David Levithan
Every Day is probably my favourite YA romance ever (which is saying something) and it’s one that I recommend to literally everyone. My little sister? Read it. My brother? He loved it. My boyfriend’s mom? Read it. My teachers? Read it. A fully grown man who wants nothing to do with YA romance? Read it. It just has such a great exploration of love and sexuality, and it’s heartbreaking and interesting and everything a good romance should be.
Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
This is the book I recommend to people who are like “I just need a funny book” or “I don’t really read much” because it’s so funny and so good. I recently recommended it to my brother’s super religious friend because it’s about armageddon, and he loved it.
So, if you or anyone you know are looking for books to read, these are the ones I always recommend. Have you read any of these? What are your thoughts? What books do you recommend to everyone?
Thanks for reading! xx
