Tag Tuesday: the Cookie Book Tag

Happy Tuesday and welcome to another Tag Tuesday! Today I’m doing the Cookie Book Tag, courtesy of Kelly @ Another Book in the Wall. Thank you very much for the nomination Kelly!

Chocolate Chip | A Classic Book That You Love or Really Enjoyed

lolita

Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. I know this book is controversial, but it’s one of the best written books I’ve ever read, and I loved it.

Thin Mints | A Fandom That You Really Want to ‘Join’ and/or a Hyped-Up Book You Want To Read

91wex42edil

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. I’m hoping to get to it this year, and I’ve heard so many good things about it!!

Shortbread | An Author You Can’t Get Enough Of

I don’t really have a lot of auto-buy authors honestly. But I think Kazuo Ishiguro, Celeste Ng, and Haruki Murakami might be up there.

Samoas | An Emotional Rollercoaster

34342006

Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys. I loved this book so much, but it was such an emotional rollercoaster. So good though.

Oreos | A Book Whose Cover Was Better Than The Story OR Vice Versa, Where The Story Was Better Than Its Cover

18079683

Boy, Snow, Bird by Helen Oyeyemi. The book wasn’t bad, but the cover is so pretty.

Tagalongs / Peanut Butter Patties | A Book That Wasn’t What You Expected

25812109

The Female of the Species by Mindy McGinnis. I wasn’t expecting this book to be THAT good. It ended up being such a good exploration of rape culture and slut shaming.

Snickerdoodles | A Book You May Never Stop Rereading/ Loving

So many!!! Harry Potter, the CHERUB series, I am the Messenger, Every Day, Life of Pi. Pretty much all my faves.

I’m not sure who’s done this tag yet (it seems like everyone has done it), but if you haven’t, consider yourself tagged!

Thanks for reading! xx

    1. Thanks, Lily! Lolita is really great, and it’s kind of disturbing but also if you know it’s disturbing, it helps, if that makes sense? Like I knew I would be creeped out by it, but that helped me see how creepy it was (if that makes any sense haha)

  1. A cookie book tag? I must do this! (I did a cake one, I think, but not cookies.)

I do love the cover art for The Female of the Species, but I’ve never looked into the book itself. Glad to hear that it’s a good read!
