Find out more about Thursday’s Top 4 here! It’s basically a meme I started mainly for myself, but anyone can participate! Visit this page for the upcoming topics 🙂
This week is books you read because of something superficial, such as the cover or general topic.
Boy, Snow, Bird by Helen Oyeyemi
The cover is just gorgeous.
The CHERUB series by Robert Muchamore
I read this series solely because I was obsessed with being a spy, and it’s about youth who are spies. It let me live my dream vicariously through this series. It’s trash, but I love it.
Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng
Again, I mainly read this because of the cover. I think it’s gorgeous.
The Measure of my Powers by Jackie Kai Ellis
Again, this was a total cover read. I entered the Goodreads giveaway because the cover was gorgeous.
Those were my superficial reads!
Thanks for reading! xx
I have had my eye on Boy, Snow, Bird because of the cover! Is it any good?

It was interesting! I have a review from a while ago, but basically I thought it was an interesting idea with good characters I really liked, but there was too much showing and not enough telling (when usually it’s the opposite) so I felt a little lost. But I think I’d still recommend it, just go in with no expectations!

Does Little Fires Everywhere’s inside match its outside?

It does, it’s just as beautiful! I actually have a review for it coming tomorrow!

I am also a sucker for pretty covers! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been taken in by good cover art. (Sometimes I get lucky and the book itself is actually good, too.)

It’s always the best when the books are just as good as the covers!

It is, but it doesn’t seem to happen as often as I would like! 😉
