Monthly recommendations: audiobooks + pride!

Find out more about the Goodreads group here! This month is audiobooks, but I’ve only listened to one audiobook in my life, so I also thought I’d do pride books in honour of pride month!

Audiobook

The Martin by Andy Weir, narrated by R. C. Bray

This is the only audiobook I’ve listened to, but it’s so good!! The reason I don’t listen to audiobooks is because I get distracted easily. But this one was so good. Bray does different voices, and he has such a good voice. I cannot recommend it enough!

Pride!!

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

I just finished this book and I already cannot stop recommending it to everyone. It’s so good. Please read it.

Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan

I know John Green books are hit-or-miss with everyone, but I really enjoyed WGWG and I definitely recommend it!

Every Day by David Levithan

One of my all-time favourite YA romances. Honestly, it’s amazing. It has such a great exploration of gender and sex and attraction and love.

Lumberjanes by Noelle Stevenson, Shannon Watters, Grace Ellis, and Brooke A. Allen

A graphic novel about lesbian lumberjacks. Do you need more reason to read it?

Those are all my recommendations! Have you read any of these? Or listened to the Martian audiobook? Let me know!

Thanks for reading! xx

  1. I love audiobooks so much. It’s how I do half of my reading! But I know what you mean about losing focus. I started a new audiobook on the weekend, got an hour in, and realized I had barely taken in a single word. Had to start it over later that day.

They’re great for walking the dog or doing chores. And I try to listen while at work, but can only do it with certain tasks.
