Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another Tag Tuesday, courtesy of Rebecca @ Bookishly Rebecca who tagged me for the Goodreads Book Tag! Thank you again for the tag!
A quick disclaimer before the tag starts: I’m writing this post a little early, so some things may have changed by the time this goes up. Sorry!
WHAT WAS THE LAST BOOK YOU MARKED AS ‘READ’?
Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor, and it was wonderful!!!! I had high hopes, but this met and exceeded all those hopes and restored my faith in fantasy!
WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?
For the next 100 years, I’ll be reading 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami, which I’m really enjoying! And I’m also currently reading Hunger by Lan Samantha Chang, which is really good.
WHAT WAS THE LAST BOOK YOU MARKED AS TBR?
Look What You Made Me Do by Helen Walmsley-Johnson. It’s a memoir about her experience in an abusive relationship, and sounds really interesting.
WHAT BOOK DO YOU PLAN TO READ NEXT?
I put the White Masai by Corinne Hofmann on my Read-a-thin TBR, so probably that. Although I’m not sure if I’m feeling it, so I might change it up.
DO YOU USE THE STAR RATING SYSTEM?
I do! I have some issues with it, namely the fact that we can’t do half stars on Goodreads. I never know whether to round up or down.
ARE YOU DOING A 2018 READING CHALLENGE?
I am! I’m hoping to read 20 books in 2018, which might not be a lot for some people but is for me! I’m also kind of participating in a bunch of other challenges, which you can read about here.
DO YOU HAVE A WISHLIST?
Not officially on Goodreads, no. But I have a top-TBR list, which is similar I guess?
WHAT BOOK DO YOU PLAN TO BUY NEXT?
I am on a strict book buying ban until I read all the books stacked in my bedroom. That being said, I realised that I didn’t plan my 2018 reading very well and there are a bunch of books on my 2018 TBR that I don’t have, so any of those.
DO YOU HAVE ANY FAVOURITE QUOTES?
I have lots! I recently did the 3 quotes, 3 days tag, so go read those for some of my favourite quotes!
WHO ARE YOUR FAVOURITE AUTHORS?
OKAY I’m really bad at picking favourites of anything, so I don’t really have any favourite authors. That being said, I often cite Neil Gaiman and Tamora Pierce as my favourite authors. There’s also a bunch of authors where I’ve only read one of their books, but I loved them to death and consider them my favourites? Can they count as favourites if I’ve only read one book by them? If they do, they include:
- Celeste Ng
- Pierce Brown
- Vladimir Nabokov
- Laini Taylor
HAVE YOU JOINED ANY GROUPS?
I have! I’m in Top 5 Wednesday, Monthly Recommendations, Our Shared Shelf, Read-A-Thin, Brilliant Books You’ve Never Heard Of, Ultimate Popsugar Reading Challenge, Around the Year in 52 Books, Book Riot’s Read Harder Challenge, Tome Topple Readathon, and YA Reading With Kelly & Kelli!. I do practically nothing in any of them, but I like creeping other people in them.
I’m tagging everyone who is my friend on Goodreads (and if you aren’t then we should be!).
Thanks for reading! xx
I discovered that we aren’t GR friends, so I added you. And that means I can now consider myself tagged for this book tag. 😉

Loved seeing all your answers, Ally! I do practically nothing in all my goodreads groups, which is awful considering how I’m an admin for one! Hahaha. I really need to get back into those groups in the summer! 💕
