This week is books people might not know about. You know, those books where you think you’re the only person who’s read them.
Dream Factory by Brad Barkley and Heather Hepler
This book takes place at Disney World, which is possibly the most unique setting I’ve ever read (other than fantasy books). It’s about the teenagers who work there as the characters, and it’s so interesting. It’s not fine literature or anything, but it’s still really enjoyable.
The Adoration of Jenna Fox by Mary E. Pearson
This book is about Jenna, who wakes up from a coma one day. Honestly, I don’t remember much about this book. I remember the ending, and I remember loving it (I gave it 5 stars) and thinking it was one of the best books I’d read up to that point.
The Spell Book of Listen Taylor by Jaclyn Moriarty
This book is probably more middle grade/YA, but I still really liked it. It’s about the Zing family and their family secret, as well as the lives of some other characters. I definitely recommend it.
Nothing by Janne Teller
Okay this books is categorized in Chapters/Indigo as for 9-11-year olds, BUT THAT IS A LIE. This book is so fucked up. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone under 16. But it’s so good. I loved it, and it was one of the first books that made me think. I wrote a review for it forever ago, which you can check out here if you’re interested.
Those are my books that you might not know about. What are some lesser-known books you love?
Thanks for reading! Ally xx
I need that book set in Disneyland!
