Thursday’s Top 4: super emotional books

Find out more about Thursday’s Top 4 here! It’s basically a meme I started mainly for myself, but anyone can participate! Visit this page for the upcoming topics 🙂

This week, the topic is super emotional books. Honestly, I cry a lot in books so I guess most books would be super emotional. But these were even more emotional than most.

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

Some of Starr’s parts were super emotional and I found myself tearing up quite a bit. Her narration on the injustices was really emotional.

Everyday by David Levithan

This one is a kind of good emotional. It’s one of those books that’s sad but also in a good way, if that makes any sense? The ending is one of my favourite types of endings, but it was also a really emotional one.

Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates

This is a non-fiction book and I found it incredibly emotional. The fact that it was written as a letter to his son also added to that. I highly recommend it.

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

I don’t think I really need to explain this one all that much. If you’ve read it, you know how emotional it is.

Those are all my emotional books! Any similarities? Any differences? Let me know!

Thanks for reading! Ally xx
