3 quotes, 3 days tag: day 3

The last day of this tag! RebeccaAnatomy of a Book Thief, and Joe tagged me in the this tag, and it’s been a lot of fun. Today is the last day, which is both sad and exciting because I really enjoyed finding the quotes for it but also it was a lot to find the quotes? But I had fun reading a bunch of quotes from my favourite books.

The rules

  • Thank the person who nominated you
  • Post a new quote for three consecutive days
  • Nominate three new bloggers each day

you tell me
i am not like most girls
and learn to kiss me with your eyes closed
something about the phrase – something about
how i have to be unlike the women
i call sisters in order to be wanted
makes me want to spit your tongue out
like i am supposed to be proud you picked me
as if i should be relieved you think
i am better than them

From milk and honey by Rupi Kaur

I had mixed feelings about this poetry collection, but I really enjoyed this sentiment of this one and I 100% agree with everything Kaur says.

I tag:

And if you haven’t done this tag yet and want to, consider yourself tagged!! Once again, no pressure!!!!

  1. Have you listened to the song “Most Girls” by Hailee Steinfeld?!?! The youtube music video starts with her with a guy and he says “I’m glad we got to hang out again, you are just not like most girls” and she leaves him. Then the song starts and its about how “Most Girls” are awesomeand how she wants to be like “most girls”

Its an amazing song! Its got the same powerful message as the poem you picked! Great Choice!!!

  2. This is such a great pick, I never thought of picking a poem (which is probably a good thing as I had too many quotes to choose from anyway!), so glad you did the tag! 🙂
