Top Five Wednesday: favourite romance novels

Find more about T5W here! This week is favourite romance novels. I don’t really read a lot of romance, but I used to read a ton of YA romance.

Every Day by David Levithan

My love for this book isn’t a secret. It’s probably my favourite YA romance and I love it so much. It has such a great exploration of love and sexuality and gender and it’s super interesting.

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

I know this book has its problems, but I still love it. I just recently reread it and enjoyed it just as much as the first few times. I could just keep reading about Anna and St. Clair tbh.

The Truth about Forever by Sarah Dessen

This is the only Sarah Dessen I’ve read because I don’t think her books are really for me. But I really really like this one. I like the relationship between Wes and Macy and I like all the side characters. It’s a great book.

Vixen by Jillian Larkin

This is about flappers during the 20s, and it has a great exploration of love and race in it. I really recommend it. Also if anyone has any books about flappers, let me know.

The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella

I talked about this book a little while ago as a book I don’t talk about enough and I’m talking about it!!! It’s so funny and I think it’s overlooked. Please please please read it, even just for the laughs.

Those are my favourite YA romances! What are yours??

  1. We totally agree with you about Anna and the French Kiss! We know it has some problems, but it is such a guilty pleasure romance read for us 🙂

      1. It is! Though it’s not overly romanc-ey by modern standards, since it’s set in an alternate Victorian England (IIRC). Still: fun romance, no love triangles, and it has a plot aside from the romance. Lots of fun.
