Alex from the Female of the Species by Mindy McGinnis
Okay so not in her violent tendencies, but definitely in her perception of other women. I loved her outlook on women and sex, and it’s something that I aspire to think like all the time.
Kiko from Starfish by Akemi Dawn Bowman
I totally related to Kiko’s social anxiety. Like, I’ve never read a better description of social anxiety and how I feel in social situations.
Skulduggery Pleasant from Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy
If you’ve read this book, you know Skulduggery is just a sarcastic shit the whole time. And that’s honestly me I’m sorry. There’s one scene I distinctly remember where he’s arresting someone and goes
“I’m placing you under arrest for murder, conspiracy to commit murder and, I don’t know, possibly littering.”
And honestly, same. My brother and I still say that all the time.
Marjane from Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi
This one’s a little weird because it’s a memoir about her childhood. But I related so hard to Marjane. She’s headstrong and passionate and rebels in small but powerful ways. I really saw a lot of myself in her.
Diana Holland from the Luxe Series by Anna Godbersen
When I read these books, I related so much to Diana. She falls hard for the pretty boy (#relatable tbh), but in the end (*spoilers*) she leaves him to go to Paris by herself because it’s what best for her (*end of spoilers*). I still think she’s a great heroine and really enjoy and relate to her.
I’ve seen this tag going around quite a bit, so I’m not going to tag anyone. But if you want to do it, please let me know! I love reading people’s answers for this tag. And thanks again to Ash and Lo for tagging me!
Thanks for reading! xx
