Learn more about Top Ten Tuesday here! This week is Books I Really Liked but Can’t Remember Anything/Much About, which is such an awesome topic!!!
Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys
I remember completely adoring this book and thinking it was such an interesting look at WW2, but I don’t remember a lot of the specifics. I would love to reread this book soon.
The Adoration of Jenna Fox by Mary E. Pearson
Again, I remember a lot of this book and remember loving it, but I don’t quite remember why. It’s dystopian/sci-fi ish and I think it involves medical ethics, which is super interesting. I think I definitely need to reread it.
Wild Magic by Tamora Pierce
This was the first Tamora Pierce book I read and I loved it. I loved Daine, the MC, and how smart she was. I never continued the series, but I did continue reading Pierce’s books and I always intended to continue.
Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
I read this book when I first came out and have been meaning to reread it ever since, especially now that theres’s the TV show. I remember thinking it was awesome, but I remember practically nothing about the specifics.
It’s Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini
This was the first book focused on mental health I read, and I read a few similar ones around the same time (like, a bunch of books with similar scenes), so I don’t remember which are from this book and which are from the other books. I’ve been meaning to reread it for YEARS now so maybe I finally should.
Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
I think I read this book too young and a lot of the themes went over my head. But I remember thinking it was interesting and important, and that’s about it.
On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta
I don’t remember much about this book except that I enjoyed it and recommended it to people for a while. It sounds like something I would have read in junior high and would have loved.
That’s all I could think of for today! Which books do you enjoy but don’t remember?
Thanks for reading! xx
This was a great post and interesting topic! I have a super bad memory so I’ve forgotten about so many books plots and characters and can just remember the fact I enjoyed them!

I usually forget specifics when I read a book only once. When I really like a book, I reread it. But if I don’t, I just forget most of the content over time. I think we all do to be honest. Some faster than others.

I have a weird and freakish memory for specifics, so I remember a lot of unnecessary specifics haha

I wish I had that. Instead I have a thing for useless information. 😂

I’ve forgotten the content of so many books! I haven’t forgotten any of the ones on your list, though, because I haven’t read them. Wild Magic is on my radar, though.

I feel the same way about Thirteen Reasons Why. I read it when I was in college and seriously can’t remember anything about it. Probably the main reason why I gave up on watching the TV show and don’t plan on it either haha

I remember the overall premise, but like every time I saw a trailer for the show I was like “oh wait, that happened too?” lol
