Welcome to the second last day of Blogmas!!!!
In May, I did a series where on Saturdays, I gave suggestions for summer drinks, so I thought for Blogmas I’d do a similar one for Christmassy drinks! This week I’m doing pomegranate cider, which is festive but also not super heavy (unlike last week’s red wine hot chocolate).
(disclaimer: I don’t advocate for binge drinking or over-drinking or underage drinking obviously, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with enjoying a drink or two on special occasions, or nights with your friends. ALSO the legal drinking age where I live is 18, so keep in mind that I’ve been legal for three years now)
Adapted from this recipe!
You will need:
6 ozs cider sparkling apple cider (I like Growers, but whatever you like!)
- 2 1/2 ozs bourbon whiskey
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- pomegranate juice
Like most cocktails, all you need to do is mix everything up in a pitcher or jug and serve! I suggest serving this cooled with ice. Also, pomegranate cider works really well too (and Growers has some!). This is what my family (the legal ones of us) are having with Christmas dinner/pre-dinner cocktails!
Thanks for reading! Let me know if you try this recipe!
