One of the first books you fell in love with

Other than kids books, I’ll go with the Dragon Keeper Series by Carole Wilkinson. It’s a trilogy about a young orphan who takes care of a dragon during the Han Dynasty in China. It’s what initially sparked my love of historical fiction.

A book you knew you were going to love from the first page

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. I just instantly clicked with the writing and the book is amazing.

A book you didn’t think you would love as much as you do

The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen. I’ve never been a big Sarah Dessen fan – I just don’t think her books are for me. But my friend (who didn’t read that much) recommended this book to me and I really like it. It’s the perfect summer read.

The character who will always have a place in your heart

Sirius Black. He’s always been my favourite character and I love him. Every time read Prisoner of Azkaban, I remember how much I love him.

Character you love on the page, but would never want to meet in real life

Alaska from Looking for Alaska by John Green. I love that book and I love her as a character, but I just don’t think we’d get along if we met.

Literary couple you will ship until the day you die

I don’t really ship? But Viola/Todd from the Chaos Walking series by Patrick Ness.

An author whose writing style you fell in love with

Neil Gaiman. I just find his writing so lyrical and wonderful, especially his short stories.

A book recommended to you by a friend/family member that you quickly fell for too

Red Rising by Pierce Brown. My brother recommended the series to me and I loved it (as those of you who followed me during the summer know).

Piece of book-related merchandise that you had to own

I own a plethora of nerdy t-shirts from Redbubble, but I don’t think any of them are book related? They’re mostly Doctor Who/Sherlock related. But my favourite one is a Yubaba’s Bathhouse shirt.

An author whose works you love so much that you auto-buy/borrow their new releases

I don’t really have any auto-buy authors honestly. I think John Green, but that’s because I’ve read all his other ones and feel like I need to read the rest of his works.

OH maybe Rupi Kaur? I love the sun and her flowers, and am hoping to get milk and honey for Christmas.
