Summer reading wrap-up

I managed to read a lot of wonderful books this summer and I’m so happy! I’ve been in a reading slump for the past couple years (yes, years. university does that to you), where all I wanted to read were the same YA romances over and over again. But this summer I found some great books and I’m so happy I’m out of the slump!

Reviews for all of these are coming over the next few weeks!

My favourites would have to be Morning Star, the Night Circus, and the Hate U Give. One sci-fi dystopian, one magical realism, and one contemporary about race relations in the US. Three very, very different books, but all very good in their own respects.

My least favourite was probably Caraval. Though it was interesting, I didn’t like any of the characters and I felt like it was really random and the eventual answers didn’t make much sense. However, I’ll probably still read the second one.
