The Ultimate Harry Potter Tag

I know it’s not Tuesday, but it’s Harry Potter’s 20th anniversary!!! So I’m doing this tag to celebrate! It was created by Isabeau’s Literary Musings.

GENERAL

 1. Favourite book?

I love all of them. But, the Prisoner of Azkaban is and always will be my favourite.

2. Least favourite book?

The Chamber of Secrets. Idk but it didn’t click with me as much as the others.

3. Favourite movie?

I think the last two, the Deathly Hallows part 1 and 2. I thought they were actually so true to the books.

4 Least favourite movie?

The Order of the Phoenix. It was such a good book, and they literally just like. destroyed it? It was so bad. I could make a whole blog post on all the things they missed and messed up.

5 Favourite quote?

I have two, serious one and a not serious one.

Serious one: “If you want to know what a man’s like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.” — Sirius Black

Not serious one: “No need to call me sir, professor.” Iconic. Truly iconic.

Runner up: “Have a biscuit, Potter.”

6. Favourite Weasley?

Book Ginny. She’s the best.

7. Favourite female character?

Hermione or Luna. They’re so great.

8. Favourite villain?

Umbridge. Like what a good character.

9. Favourite male character?

Sirius Black. I love him.

10. Favourite professor?

McGonagall. 100%

WOULD YOU RATHER

11. A, Wash Snape’s hair, or B, spend a day listening to Lockhart rant about himself.

Spend a day listening to Lockhart.

Duel Bellatrix, because Molly scares me tbh.

The Hogwarts Express, for sure.

BOOK TO MOVIE ADAPTATION

16. Is there a character which you felt differently about in the movies vs books?

GINNY. Book Ginny is the best but movie Ginny is the worst. ALSO Dumbledore after the second movie. He’s so calm and collected in the books, and then that scene in the Goblet of Fire happens (you know the scene).

17. Is there a movie you preferred instead of the book?

No, the books are too good.

18. Richard Harris or Michael Gambon as Dumbledore?

I have to go with Richard Harris, just because I think he was more true to Dumbledore.

19. Your top thing (person or event) which wasn’t included in the movie that annoyed you most.

Teddy for sure. I also wish there was more about Bill and Fleur, especially that scene where Fleur yells at Molly.

ALSO the Fred and George swamp scene. And when they say “Give her hell for us, Peeves” and Peeves actually listens. What a great part.

20. If you could remake any of the Potter movies, which would it be?

The Order of the Phoenix.

I’m constantly torn between wanting to remake the movies better but also they had perfect casting the first time around.

21. Which house was your first gut feeling you’d be a part of?

Honestly I don’t know. But I always wanted to be in Gryffindor so I could be friends with them.

22. Which house were you actually sorted into on Pottemore (or another online sorting quiz)?

Ravenclaw, which I’m good with.

23. Which class would be your favourite?

I think either charms or defense against the dark arts.

24. Which spell do you think would be most useful to learn?

Accio. There are so many times where I wish I was magic just the be able to use Accio.

25. Which character do you think at Hogwarts you’d instantly become best friends with?

I think either Hermione or Ginny.

MISCELLANEOUS

26. If you could own one of the three Hallows, which would it be?

The invisibility cloak. That would be so frikkin handy.

27. Is there any aspect of the books you’d want to change? This can be a character, an event, anything.

OKAY There’s that one tumblr post about a Slytherin being the champion instead of Diggory and like it was so good. This one here! Read it!!! Cry with me!!!

But other than re-writing the whole series, I want Sirius to be alive 😦

28. Favourite marauder?

Sirius. Shocking, I know.

29. If you could bring one character back to life, which would it be?

Again Sirius. But also Lupin and Tonks.

30. Hallows or horcruxes?

Hallows. Much more useable.
