You know those books that just stick with you and you never really forget? Those books you read when you were 12 that somehow you still read? These are those books. The ones I go to when I need something to read (6, 8, 9, 12, 14), the ones I recommend to everyone and buy for everyone (12, 13, 15, 16), the ones I read to sound well-read and ended up loving (17, 18, 21), the ones I read as a kid that I still read (3, 4, 7). Whenever I travel, at least one of these books comes with me. They’re just those special books that I hold near and dear to my heart.
(Honourable mentions/ones that were on the list and I had to sadly cut: the Island Series by Gordon Korman; the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins; the Outsiders by S.E. Hinton; Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins; Nimona by Noelle Stevenson; Exit the Actress by Priya Parmar; the Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold; Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder; the Goldfinch by Donna Tartt)
Let me know yours! Thanks for reading!
Love this idea. So cool seeing the journey through books. Books on my list would include People Might Hear You, Don’t Pat the Wombat, The Tomorrow When the War Began series, The Belgariad series, Blue Like Jazz, and Big Magic.
